POLICE have appealed for help to find a 12-year-old boy who is known to visit St Helens.

Miley McGinley was last seen at 6.30pm on Monday, June 25 near his home in from Vauxhall, Liverpool.

Officers have carried out extensive enquiries to find him since then and are now appealing to anyone who may have seen Miley to contact police.

In a statement, a Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "He is white, 5ft 5in tall with short thick dark-brown hair and hazel eyes and speaks with an Irish accent.

"Miley is thought to be wearing either a white sleeveless t-shirt with black shorts and black trainers or blue denim jeans and a dark blue polo shirt with a small square red Hugo boss label on the top right.

"He is known to visit St Helens Cemetery & Crematorium, Tara Park on Oil Street in Liverpool and Liverpool city centre."

If you see Miley call 999 so police can make sure he is safe.
