A MAN with a fear of flights is taking to the skies next week to do a skydive for Walking With the Wounded.

James Davis from Rainford aims to raise £1,000 for the Armed Forces charity Walking With The Wounded (WWTW) and Dementia UK on June 29.

James, an Events Manager at Walking With The Wounded, is motivated by his commitment to supporting Armed Forces veterans and honouring the memory of his father, who passed away from dementia a few years ago. He believes in supporting those who have served in the Armed Forces and helping families and those affected by dementia.

Reflecting on the upcoming challenge, James shared, "I took part in a charity skydive in 2014 and was terrified, but landing safely felt incredible, knowing I'd raised money for a good cause.

“This time, I'm jumping for two charities close to my heart: Walking With The Wounded and Dementia UK. Working at Walking With The Wounded, every day I witness firsthand the impact of our fundraisers' efforts on veterans and their families.

“I'm also raising funds for Dementia UK in honour of my late father. Though I'm not thrilled about jumping out of a plane again, I'm excited to contribute to two organisations that make a real difference."
