A MAN who was drunk and disorderly and exposed his penis in a St Helens town centre street at new year has been sentenced by a court.

Sean O'Donnell, 36, appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, June 12.

O'Donnell had already in a previous hearing held on May 3, pleaded guilty to an act of outraging public decency, being drunk and disorderly and possession of Class A drug cocaine.

The 36-year-old appeared before magistrates to be sentenced for the offences, which he committed on New Year's Day.

O'Donnell was drunk and disorderly outside Perry's Bar, on Duke Street.

He also exposed his penis and was later found to be in possession of a small bag of cocaine at St Anne's Street Police Station, in Liverpool, on the same date.

O'Donnell, of Walpole Avenue, Wigan, was sentenced to a community order for the public indecency offence.

He must do 20 days of rehabilitation activity and 100 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.

O'Donnell was also ordered to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85 and a surcharge of £114.

The defendant was given no separate penalties for the drunk and disorderly and drugs offences, and O'Donnell's guilty pleas were taken into account upon his sentencing.

The court ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the cociane.
