A FAMILY business that became a "household name" for household and commercial necessities has closed down after more than 40 years.
Launching in 1983, Newton-le-Willows Blinds and Curtains became a leading supplier of blinds, curtains, and awning services across Newton and the surrounding areas.
Becoming well known for its made-to-measure products and high-quality services, the company also grew its reputation at various market stalls, and as a family business that took the time to care for each customer.
This is why there has been a huge outpouring of support for the business after it announced that it is calling it a day after more than 40 years in operation.
