A POLICE car was involved in a crash on the East Lancashire Road this morning.
A stretch of the A580 was closed in Knowsley following the collision.
The crash, near Moorgate Road, involved a Kia Sportage and a police vehicle.
A police spokeswoman said two women inside the Kia suffered minor injuries.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "around 11.10am on Wednesday, June 12, we received a report of a collision involving a Kia Sportage and a police vehicle on East Lancashire Road, Moorgate Road.
"The two women inside the car sustained minor injuries.
"Part of East Lancashire Road was closed whilst the car was removed from the area which has now reopened."
