TWO men have been arrested in connection with a break-in during the early hours.
Officers were called to Newton RC Club on Patterson Street at around 3.25am on Monday, June 10, to reports of a break-in. Patrols attended and detained two men on nearby Cross Lane.
A 40-year-old man from Speke and a 27-year-old man from Speke were arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal.

They remain in custody for questioning.
A sledgehammer was found at the scene and has been forensically recovered.
