A REVAMPED town centre music festival is set to take place in St Helens town centre this weekend.

Following a four-year hiatus of Westfield Street Festival, a revamped festival was organised by local businesses last summer, which brought an "electric atmosphere" across the town centre bars.

Aiming to replicate this atmosphere and bring a boost to town centre venues, the music festival will return on Sunday, June 9.

With live music is planned to kick off at 1pm, the Citadel, Imperial Quarter, Church Bar, the Sefton, and the Vault are are taking part in the event.
