ECCLESTON Mere Primary School has enjoyed some more sporting success.
The year 5/6 athletics team at the school won the Y5/6 Quadkids competition, hosted by Sutton Academy, on Thursday, June 6.
The Eccleston Mere team achieved a total of 1,528 points.
The success marks the first time the school has won the competition.
The triumph follows on from the school's athletics success earlier in the year.
The Star reported in March as Eccy Mere's Year 3/4 athletics team won the Sportshall Athletics competition, and the school's Year 5/6 athletics team were victors in the Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics Merseyside School Games Final, with the Eccleston school also winning the Spirit of the Games trophy.
Eccleston Mere teacher and PE co-ordinator Gareth Helsby said: "We continue to be proud of the sporting achievements here at Eccy Mere.
"The children are an absolute credit and deserve their success."
