FEARS that a community Post Office had closed permanently were put to rest yesterday as it reopened with new changes.
After a period of closure, there were rumours that the Bleak Hill Post Office, located inside the One Stop newsagents on Walmesley Road, had closed for good.
This had caused concern as the Post Office is well known for its community value, postal services, cash withdrawals, and money exchange.
However, the One Stop has confirmed that the Post Office reopened within a new format in the shop yesterday (Wednesday, June 5).

With changes agreed between the One Stop and Post Office, the Post Office counter has now been brought closer to the till.
Bosses believe that this will make better use of the retail space and enhance store operations.
Staff members who have been affected by the changes are reported to have been offered work at the store in similar positions.
