SEVERAL properties in St Helens will go up for auction later this month as former business sites in the town continue to be made available.

Buildings that are listed include buildings that were previously occupied by a hairdresser, barber and a bar.

They will go up for auction online with Auction House North West on June 11 and 12 as investment opportunities.

A two-bedroom mixed-use property at 6 & 6A Cowley Hill Lane - guide price £150,000

The vacant, mixed use property was formerly occupied by a hairdresser on the ground floor and two-bedroom self contained flat on the first floor.

The property comprises of a commercial unit on the ground floor with kitchen and toilet facilities.

On the first floor a self-contained refurbished flat with lounge, kitchen, two bedrooms and a shower room.

Externally there is a concrete area to the front and a yard to the rear.

The property would make a great investment, and subject to the relevant permissions the ground floor could be converted into residential premises.

Vacant two-storey former bar - guide price £99,000

As reported by the Star, the former Mollie's bar remains on the market, although the asking price has been cut for this auction to £99,000. Previously, it had stood at £150,000.

Prior to being converted to a bar, the property was a furniture shop for many years and the listing states that it "would suit a variety of uses subject to the relevant permissions".

This was formerly a barber shop on Cambridge Road at the junction of Exeter Street with a self-contained one-bed flat to the first floor.
