Hospice pop-up

WILLOWBROOK Hospice's £1 Pop Up Shop has been so popular that it is extending the opening days.

The shop will be open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday inside the Living Well Marquee, Borough Road, St Helens, WA10 3RN

Opening hours are 10am-2pm every Tuesday and Wednesday and 10am-1pm every Friday.

In a statement the hospice said: "Thank you to our amazing volunteers for their incredible support to enable us to open for more days."

Family day

A SPRING family fun day will be taking place at the Mellor and Black Enchanted Tea Gardens, on Duke Street, St Helens.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 1, between 1pm and 4pm.

There will be stalls, live music, games and raffles, food and refreshments.

Strings concert

A CONCERT by St Helens Sinfonietta will be held in June.

Featuring music by the likes of Mozart, Elgar and Forshaw, Sinfonietta Strings will take place on Saturday, June 8 at Ormskirk Street United Reformed Church, with a 7.30pm start.

Tickets are priced £17, £16 for members and £1 for under 16s.

Trustee search

WILLOWBROOK Hospice is on the search for a new trustee to join the charity.

Taking on a role as a trustee is a way to volunteer whilst offering your expertise.

The hospice's board is made up of a range of people with a range of skills and working backgrounds. They make sure that Willowbrook Hospice is around for the future of the St Helens & Knowsley community.

The club is looking for trustees to join the board who have experience in the following areas:

▪️ Estates

▪️ Technology and Communications

▪️ Clinical

▪️ Retail (including sales, merchandising, marketing and online sales)

Programme fair

A SAINTS programme, memorabilia and collectors fair will be held at the club's Totally Wicked Stadium.

It will be in the Red Vee Bar on Saturday, June 1 between 10.30am and 2pm.

Admission is free. Saints Heritage Society will be raising funds for the Steve Prescott Foundation.

Forces dinner

AN ARMED FORCES Day dinner will be staged at St Helens Town Hall.

The event is scheduled on Saturday, June 22 and will involve entertainment from a military band, a raffle and a disco.

Tickets cost £32. Black-tie is the preferred dress code although a jacket and tie will suffice. Medals may be worn.

Stage is set

SUNSHINE on Leith - featuring the songs of the Proclaimers - will be staged by Rainhill Musical Theatre Company in June.

Running from Wednesday, June 19 to Saturday, June 22, performances will be in Rainhill Village Hall.

Tickets are £12 for adults and £10 for concessions.

Remembrance

A FATHER'S Day Remembrance Service will take place on Sunday, June 16 at St Helens Crematorium, Rainford Road, Windle.

The service, led by Darren Anders, will start at 1.30pm.

Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments will be provided.

It is supported by the Friends of St Helens Cemetery and St Helens Council's Bereavement Team.
