A POWER cut has hit some properties on the edge of the borough this morning (Thursday).
The outage is affecting some addresses in St Helens, off the East Lancashire Road, and also in neighbouring Knowsley.
In a statement, Scottish Power said: "We are aware of a fault in your area. If you require more information please call us on: Cheshire, Merseyside, North Wales and North Shropshire: 0800 001 5400."

Scottish Power said electricity is estimated to be restored at affected properties by 2pm today.
