A REVAMPED town centre music festival will return for a jam-packed event next week.
With Westfield Street Music Festival one of the most anticipated events on the local calendar, a collection of bar owners worked to bring the festival back to the town centre last year, after a four-year hiatus.
While there were no parades and dancers as enjoyed at previous Westfield Street festivals, bar owners said that the revamped 'St Helens Music Festival' had an "electric atmosphere" across the town centre.

Aiming to replicate this atmosphere and bring a boost to town centre venues, the music festival will return on Sunday, June 9.
With the Citadel, Imperial Quarter, Church Bar, and the Sefton all taking part, the live music is planned to kick off at 12pm.
New artist Ruby J is one of the acts to watch on the Citadel stage after receiving radio plays and signing a record deal.
Other acts include local duo the Bath Tub Gin Band, One Day Long, the Mannequins, and more.
With the event planned as a free festival, the organisers hope that it will become an annual fixture in St Helens, with the capacity to grow in size and stature.
