ALDI has announced the reopening date of its store at the West Point site in St Helens which has been undergoing a refurbishment
The superstore, off Linkway West, St Helens, will open to customers on Friday, May 31, following its renovation.
Aldi says the premises' upgrades will make for "an all-round better shopping experience" and a "more sustainable store".
Changes include increased chiller space, complete with new fridge doors to reduce energy consumption, as well as additional room for Specialbuys and redesigned Health & Beauty and Bakery sections for a modernised look.
The store employs 45 staff, and the refurbishment will create additional jobs, Aldi says.

During re-opening week, the store will be offering a range of festival essentials, including a two-man pop-up tent for £17.99, camping accessories set for £9.99, and kids’ animal pop-up tents for £12.99 each.
Store manager Julie Holcroft commented: “The store is looking fantastic, and we are really looking forward to welcoming back some familiar faces as well as new customers and supplying our local community with the everyday amazing products we have available.”
The store sits at the West Point leisure and retail complex, which also includes a Superbowl UK, German Doner Kebab, Costa Coffee drive-thru and a Home Bargains store. Planet Doughnut recently announced it is closing its premises at West Point.
Meanwhile, two further drive-thru units, including a proposed Greggs bakery have also been granted planning approval for the last section of the site.
