WILLOWBROOK Hospice's Moonlight Walk will be staged once again this year - with the event returning to the roads and pavements of St Helens.
Organisers are reviving the traditional route of the event, which will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
Returning to The Living Well
Starting and finishing at The Living Well, Borough Road, St Helens, the Moonlight Walk will follow the traditional route that leads all the way to Willowbrook Hospice via Prescot Road.
In recent years the event had been staged at Ruskin sportsground but the charity is revering back to pounding the pavements of West Park, Eccleston Park and surrounding areas.
Organisers say it’s not just about the distance covered, it’s about the journey, the memories, and the sense of community that this walk fosters.
Walkers will be on course for the sunset and finish under the moonlit sky.
They will be encouraged to take a moment to pause and remember their loved ones who are no longer here.
Walk under the stars
Suzanne Davies, head of fundraising said: “By taking part in the Moonlight Walk, you are not just remembering your loved ones; you are also helping others in need.
"All the proceeds from the event will go directly to the hospice, ensuring our teams can continue their valuable work.
"We look forward to walking with you under the stars, remembering our loved ones, and supporting a wonderful cause.”
