A MAN has been charged in connection with an alleged attack in which another man was reportedly stabbed and suffered slash wounds.
Officers have charged a suspect after the reported assault happened at a property in Earlestown in the early hours of Friday, May 10.
Police said that shortly before 3.45am, they received a report that a man had been assaulted at an address on Legh Street.

The man suffered slash wounds to his head and back as well as a stab wound to the right side of his chest and was taken to hospital.
Shan Garry, of no fixed address, has been charged with GBH with intent, and threats to cause criminal damage.
Garry, 34, has been remanded into custody at Merseyside Domestic Violence Remand Court.
In a statement, a Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "A man from Newton-le-Willows has been charged after another man was assaulted at an address in Earlestown on Friday, May 10.
"Just before 3.45am we received a report that a man had been assaulted at a house on Legh Street.
"The (man) suffered slash wounds to his head and back as well as a stab wound to the left side of his chest was taken to hospital.
"Officers arrested and charged on Monday, May 13, 2024, Shan Garry, aged 34, of no fixed abode with a section 18 assault and threats to cause criminal damage.
"He has been remanded into custody at Merseyside Domestic Violence Remand Court in Liverpool."
