Breakfast club
READY to change the world over breakfast? Peasley Cross United Reformed Church will be serving a delicious morning meal while raising money to fight poverty and injustice worldwide through supporting Christian Aid.

Plant sale
THERE will be a sale of good quality bedding plants supplied by Woodend Nursery on Saturday, May 18 between 10am and 2pm.
The event takes place at Peasley Cross URC, Beaufort Street (off Sutton Road), St Helens WA9 3BQ.
Health event
THE Merseyside branch of Crohn’s & Colitis UK will be hosting a social event in St Helens on June 1 between 1 and 3pm.
In what will be the group’s first in-person event since the pandemic, people can go along to the Boundary Suite at Queens Park Health and Fitness Centre, Boundary Road, St Helens WA10 2LT.
Attendees can meet others affected by the conditions - forms of inflammatory bowel disease - and chat to local volunteers from the charity.
There is no need to book a place and everyone is free to come and go as the please.
Family fun
A FAMILY fun day will take place at Prescot Odyssey Cricket Club on Burrows Lane, Eccleston (L34 6JW) on Sunday, May 12.
The event, starting at noon, will involve fun fair rides, hook a duck, bouncy castles, rodeo bull, craft stall, archery and face painting.
Families are invited to go along and have some fun.
Classic cars
A CLASSIC car show will take place at the North West Museum of Transport on Sunday, May 26 between 10pm and 4pm.
More than 40 visiting cars will be on show and there will be free heritage bus rides. There will also be a model railway exhibition.
Entry £6 for adults and free for under 16s.
The museum is at 51 Hall Street, St Helens WA10 1DU.
Dementia info
TO coincide with Dementia Action Week, Newton Community Centre is hosting an event to help support people living with dementia.
The Welcome Support Group will meet between 11am and 12.30pm on Monday, May 13. It is free to attend.
The get-together offers friendly support and advice for all those affected by dementia.
Tea and toast provided, plus a member of the team from Alzheimer’s Society will attend to answer any questions.
Boogie babies
VIBRANCE dance studio - based at the Citadel - hosts Boogie Babies every Tuesday between 5.30 and 6pm.
The classes are for babies to children aged three. There are lots of props and interactive songs to help learn the basics of dance.

Life-saving class
PEOPLE are being offered the opportunity to learn life-saving skills.
The Workers’ Memorial Foundation are continuing with their programme of offering free defibrillator training, worth £150 per person.
The most recent four-hour course was held on April 22 at Derbyshire Hill Community Centre and the 10 candidates came away with a nationally-recognised certificated qualification, TQUK Level 2 in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation AED
The Workers’ Memorial will continue to offer the free training as long as funding is available
