A VAN with a trailer attached containing two fertiliser spreaders was stolen by thieves from a hotel car park.

Police are appealing for information following the "high-value theft" which happened at the car park of the Mercure Haydock hotel earlier this month. 

At around 10.30pm on Tuesday, April 9, it was reported that a Nissan Navara had been stolen from the car park at the hotel, on Penny Lane.

There was a 16ft long flatbed trailer attached to the vehicle, which was holding two red fertiliser spreaders.

The Nissan Navara also had a red oval sticker on the back window that states ‘Gasparoo’ and a similar sticker on the front that reads ‘Maschio’.

Detectives issue appeal



Anyone with information about this theft or who knows the whereabouts of the vehicle, is asked to please get in touch to help the police's ongoing investigation.

Detective Constable Chris Loughead said: “We would urge anyone with information about this incident to get in touch.

"If you know the whereabouts of the vehicle or you have been offered it for sale, please let us know.

"If you live in the area, you may have seen someone acting suspicious in the area of Penny Lane in Haydock that evening, or have CCTV or dashcam footage from around 10.30pm.

"If you can help in any way, please get in touch and help us bring the offenders to justice."
