A WOMAN whose hobby grew into a passion and a profession is gearing up to launch her dream jewellery business next month.
After developing a reputation as a trusted barber at Watson & Co in Sutton, Helen Hoffman has spent the last few years working at Louis Williams Jewellers in St Helens town centre with her husband Eddie.
Growing her knowledge in the jewellery industry, this experience has allowed Helen to build confidence in both herself and others, and she feels that the time is right to launch her new business, 'The House of Sparkle', next month.

After her experience at Louis Williams, Helen's twin aims of the 'The House of Sparkle' will be on "high quality luxury jewellery at affordable prices".
This is important to build a loyal and high customer base, Helen says, and the business will offer a range of sterling silver, moissanite rings, and semi-precious gemstones at prices that range from £10 to £100.
Helen will also be able to give expert style advice for customers, although the business will initially remain purely online to offset rent and building costs.
Helen, who is also known for organising festive toy appeals, Christmas markets, charity events, and multicultural galas, said: "I've always loved jewellery and bling but at Louis Williams, this has turned into a passion and a business.
"My husband Eddie has been in the industry for over 30 years and he has taught me everything I know.
"I love customers coming in and helping them with jewellery for themselves or their families, and seeing them come back in again and again.
"This is what has given me the confidence to launch the business - I’m nervous but very excited!”
With history of collaborating with other St Helens businesses and charities, ‘The House of Sparkle’s first products will be auctioned off at a special Andy Reid event this Saturday, in support of the Standing Tall Foundation.
