MUSIC students at Cowley Sixth Form College have organised a grass root live music gig.

Fusion Festival is a homegrown LIVE music event, organised by music students with the aim to fuse the vast genres of music into one night, with supporting acts and headline bands ‘NOVA’, and ‘All But One’.

With the namesake of the event, signifying a fusion, this group of aspiring students welcome anyone and everyone in St Helens to spend £7 for a ticket, and enjoy a night of diverse music right outside their doorstep at the Windle Labour Club, on May 10, 2024.

Hol Clark, co-organiser of ‘Fusion Festival’, and band manager of ‘NOVA’ said: “There’s so much potential for the live music scene in St Helens, we’re just waiting for an innovative group, such as us, to tap into that potential and give the people of St Helens a chance to experience a true live music show, regardless of their taste in music.”

Owen Marsh, Co-Organiser of ‘Fusion Festival’, and band manager of ‘All But One’ followed added: “We know there’s more than what meets the eye for St Helens’ live music scene, and we need support from the people around us, regardless, if you’re a metal head or a pop fanatic.

"For just £7, why not come and show some support for the homegrown talent around you, and you might just find a band that really takes your fancy.”

Head of performing arts at Cowley, Daniel Watkins, said: “I think the reason why Fusion Festival is such a brilliant event is because it allows the young performers and musicians from around St Helens to get together and showcase what they are capable of.”

“It’s a celebration of their talent and the amazing things that this group of students can pull off.”
