A COMMUNITY has rallied to help search for a missing pet dog who escaped from home two days ago.
At around 2am on Friday, April 19, Crumbs, a rottweiler staffy mix, along with owner Stephanie Crosby's five other dogs, ran away from their St Helens town centre home after a gate had blown open.
Stephanie says police were made aware, with teams of friends, family, strangers, businesses all rallying round to help, and putting posters put up.
The other dogs have since been found, with three located on Broad Oak Road at around 6am that morning and another on Billinge Cresent at around 7 am, with the other seen waiting at the front door of Stephanie's Brynn Street home when dropping the others back off.
However, six-month-old puppy Crumbs, described as "the most timid", is still missing. She is micro-chipped and Stephanie believes Crumbs may have been taken in by someone.
Drones and thermal drones have been used day and night to help with the search for her.
There have been possible sightings on Saturday, April 20 in Parr and possibly near Blackbrook rugby club, though it is not certain that it was Crumbs.

"We're out of our minds with worry and trying everything we possibly can to find her," added Stephanie, 37, who lives with her husband.
"Teams of people searching and scouring the whole of St Helens and any help with social media coverage would be greatly appreciated."
Stephanie said they are offering a £500 reward for her safe return.
"We fear someone had taken her, and the drone pilots agree with the lack of heat sources they suggested to me she may have been taken in by someone.
"She's a much-loved member of our family and we're desperate to have her home. We've even offered a cash reward for her safe return."
- Anyone with information or who has Crumbs and wishes to arrange an anonymous collection with no repercussions can ring Stephanie on 07740189260.
