EMERGENCY services were called to a crash between two cars this afternoon, Friday.
Residents reported seeing a police incident around the area of the Rainford bypass.
When asked by the Star, a spokeswoman said there had been a crash between a red Mercedes and a black Lexus on Pasture Lane.
No injures had yet been reported, she added.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "At around 4.55pm this afternoon (Friday, April 19) we received a report of a collision involving a red Mercedes A Class and a black Lexus on Pasture Lane in Rainford.
"No injuries have been reported to police at present.
"Officers have blocked off the road whilst debris from the cars is being cleared."
