A WOMAN has been found guilty of assault and theft from Sports Direct in St Helens.
On Sunday, July 9, 2023, Catherine Scott stole clothing to the value of £201 from Sports Direct, on King Street in St Helens town centre.
It has also been reported that Ms Scott, of Stokesley Avenue in Kirkby, assaulted a man on the same day.

In December, the 45-year-old entered a plea of not guilty to both offences, but she was found guilty by Liverpool and Knowsley Magistrates Court on Monday, March 25.
On Wednesday, April 17, magistrates ruled that Ms Scott should be placed on conditional bail until her sentencing hearing in May, to prevent further offending.
Part of these conditions state that she is not to enter the Sports Direct shop in St Helens.
