A RESIDENT was rescued from a flat by emergency crews after a fire had broken out.
Firefighters rushed to Field Close, Clock Face on Wednesday evening, April 17 after being alerted to the blaze.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called at 7.22pm and three fire engines arrived at the scene at 7.29pm.

The fire had taken hold in a first-floor flat and four firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames, and carried out a search of the property.
One resident was rescued and taken into the care of paramedics.
The casualty was assessed for smoke inhalation and then taken to hospital for further observation.
After the fire was put out, utilities at the flat were isolated. Firefighters also ventilated the flat and checked for fire spread.
Crews left the scene at 8.55pm.
