ST HELENS and the surrounding region are under a yellow weather warning throughout Monday.
The Met Office says strong winds may cause some disruption throughout the day, with an alert in place until 10pm.
The warning states there could be some disruption to public transport and loss of power for some areas.
It adds that there could be some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport
Some bus and train services will probably be affected, with some journeys taking longer
Some short term loss of power and other services is possible
Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely
It is likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves
Light showers could also fall at various intervals throughout the day.
