A FURTHER flood warning and another flood alert have been issued in Warrington this afternoon, Wednesday.
It follows the watercourse bursting its banks yesterday, Tuesday, near to the town centre at Bridge Foot.

Meanwhile, the flood alert is in force for The Twiggeries, Cardinal Newman High School, Victoria Park, Howley, Latchford, Centre Park, Lower Walton, Sankey Bridges and Penketh.
The warning reads: “As a result of high spring tides and strong winds, tides will be at their highest throughout the afternoon at 2.15pm to 2.15pm today, Wednesday.
“Tides are expected to be higher than usual due to the forecast weather conditions during coming tides.
“The next high tide is expected to be higher than normal and may result in us issuing a further alert.
“We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this warning if necessary.
“This message will be updated by 10am tomorrow, Thursday, or as the situation changes.”
The alert reads: “This flood alert has been issued due to the high tide forecast lunchtime today, Wednesday.
“Flooding is possible at low-lying lands and roads from 1pm. It is possible that river levels may affect Arpley Road under the railway bridge.
“We are expecting higher than normal tides over the next two days, and as a result we may issue further alerts or warnings.
“Our incident rooms are on standby and we are closely monitoring the situation. We are liaising with emergency services and local authorities.
“Avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
