TWELVE venues across St Helens have received new food hygiene ratings, with many getting full marks.
The Food Standards Agency rated food venues from five to zero, five being the highest.
The following ratings have been given to seven restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 5: Costa Coffee at 36-38 Church Street, St Helens; rated on March 13
• Rated 5: Costa Coffee at 5 Highpoint, St Helens; rated on March 12
• Rated 5: St James Parish Centre at Church Road, Haydock; rated on March 8
• Rated 5: Crownway Community Centre at Crown Street, Newton Le Willows; rated on March 6
• Rated 5: Goya Bistro at 83 High Street, Newton Le Willows; rated on March 6
• Rated 5: Willowbees Cafe at Newton Le Willows Health And Fitness, Ashton Road, Newton Le Willows; rated on March 6
• Rated 5: The Greedy Pig at The Greedy Pig Cafe, Sandwash Close, Rainford; rated on March 5
Pubs, bars and nightclubs
And two ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:
• Rated 5: The Bowling Green at Bowling Green Inn, 125 Robins Lane, St Helens; rated on March 4
• Rated 3: The Millhouse at 172 Mill Lane, Sutton Leach; rated on February 8
