POLICE were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at Windle Island this morning (Saturday).
Emergency services were alerted to the collision at the junction, near to the East Lancashire Road at around 6.30am.

A police spokesman said: "It was reported at 6.30am and was a two-vehicle RTC (road traffic collision).
"The road was partially blocked throughout and has since been cleared."
He added there were "minor injuries" suffered in the crash.
