A MOTORIST was taken to hospital after a crash that saw a set of traffic lights knocked over.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash on Higher Parr Street, in Fingerpost, on Wednesday afternoon, March 6.
A car hit parked vehicles on the road and then went on to collide with the traffic light and a car on the opposite carriageway, police said.
Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after noon and a cordon was put in place as they dealt with the incident.
One driver was taken to hospital for precautionary checks after he suffered minor injuries, a police spokeswoman said.

The Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "MFRS attended an incident at Higher Parr Street, St Helens, on March 6.
"Crews were alerted at 12.14pm and two fire engines were on scene shortly after. Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) also attended.
"Crews arrived to find a road traffic collision (RTC) involving three vehicles. All vehicles remained on all four wheels and all occupants were out prior to crews’ arrival."
She added: "Merseyside Police enforced a road closure and a cordon was put in place due to a damaged traffic light.
"St Helens Council was requested to attend to handle the traffic light and NWAS conveyed one driver to hospital for precautionary checks.
"Fire crews handed the scene over to Merseyside Police and left at 1.14pm."
A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We had a report that at around 12.10pm yesterday (Wednesday) an Audi A6 was in collision with parked cars on Higher Parr Street and then in collision with street furniture and a car on the opposite carriageway.
"The male driver of the Audi was taken to hospital with minor injuries."
A North West Ambulance spokesman confirmed one patient was taken to hospital.
