A PIERCING, crystals, and incense shop has become a favourite spot for customers who describe it as an "oasis of peace" and "full of love".
With a background in piercing but having a passion for crystals, reiki, and well-being products, Aimee Palin decided to combine these elements once a space came free on Newton-le-Willows' High Street.
As Aimee is from Newton, she had long wanted to be a part of the thriving independent business scene along the high street, and once everything had fallen into place, she launched 'Pierce and Love' last May.

Initially building stock for 'Pierce and Love' in her spare room, Aimee opened her High Street shop with just a half-full wall of products last year.
In the nine months that have followed, she has steadily increased her product range and now offers a wide variety of candles, crystals, reiki, and healing products, all of which she makes sure to ethically source to align with her values.
Working alongside her mum, there is also upstairs and back-of-house space for piercings while the business has further grown to offer meditation and well-being classes.
In a recent post on social media, Aimee explained how she is "overwhelmed with gratitude" when reflecting on the launch of 'Pierce and Love' - adding that she often feels like crying "tears of joy" when she walks into her shop.
This gratitude has stemmed from bringing her dream business to life, as well as the continued support from her customers and neighbouring businesses.
Speaking to the Star about her first nine months in business, Aimee said: "Things have been going really well so far and I just love being on the high street because everyone is so welcoming here.
"The other businesses are really supportive and our customers are amazing. Lots of them have said they appreciate having something a bit different on the high street.
"I make sure our products are ethically sourced and they have really helped my health and wellbeing, so I'm really passionate about creating a safe space to share this with others too."
