POLICE arrested a man in connection with an alleged domestic assault.
Residents reported seeing a police presence in the area of the Carr Mill Hotel on Wednesday evening, February 21.
A police spokeswoman confirmed they arrested a suspect at the pub in connection with an earlier "domestic" incident at an address in Haresfinch.
Police received a report that a man had assaulted a woman and made threats towards her at a property.
A 40-year-old suspect was later arrested by officers at the Carr Mill.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "A man has been arrested following a report of domestic assault at an address St Helens yesterday Wednesday, February 21.
"Just after 5.50pm we received a report that a man had assaulted a woman and made threats towards her at the address.
"A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, controlling and coercive behaviour, malicious communications and criminal damage."
