A MAN is in hospital with serious injuries after an explosion at an address in Billinge.
Emergency crews were called at about 3pm on Wednesday, February 21, to the incident inside an address on Park Road in Billinge.
A man in his 80s was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.

A statement from Greater Manchester Police read: "Enquiries suggest that the explosion was caused by the ignition of a flammable substance and there is no wider threat to the community.
"The scene has now been made safe by emergency services and no neighbouring properties were evacuated during the incident."
