ST HELENS Theatre Royal has paid tribute to former Strictly star Robin Windsor who has died aged 44.
The death of the star – who performed in the Theatre Royal’s Christmas pantomime in 2019/2020 – was announced this morning via Burn The Floor, the show he was part of via ‘X’ the social platform formerly known as Twitter.
The professional dancer, who appeared on the show between 2010 and 2015, was paired with celebrities including model Patsy Kensit, actresses Anita Dobson and Lisa Riley and Dragon’s Den star Deborah Meaden.
Paying tribute to him, St Helens Theatre Royal took to social media to say: “St Helens Theatre Royal and Regal Entertainments Ltd are deeply saddened by the news of Robin Windsor’s passing.
“We had the pleasure of Robin headlining our 2019/20 Christmas Pantomime and he was such a joy to work with.
“Our prayers and condolences are with his family and friends at this difficult time. RIP.”
