A BAR is due to reopen in St Helens town centre with a new identity - after undergoing a makeover.
Kandy Klub on the corner of Ormskirk Street and Westfield Street has been transformed with a new look.
It will also be renamed as Maloney's St Helens - although the bar is not believed to have any connection to the cocktail venue that stood on Waterloo Street in the early 2000s.
In a statement, the bar announced it is due to have a grand opening on Saturday, between 6pm and 8pm before being open through the night.
The venue added on social media: "Family & friends, join us from 6 pm to 8 pm; open to the public from 8 pm to 5 am!
"Live Sky TV, BT Sports, draught beer, and DJ BEN spinning cheesy pop hits!
"Dress to impress! Please note the strict dress code on Fridays and Saturdays: No shorts, no joggers, no tracksuits.
"Let's make it a night to remember!"
St Helens town centre's night-time economy has struggled to bounce back from the impact of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis that followed.
A few venues that have reopened on Westfield Street have subsequently closed, including Kingdom bar and Eden.
