DRIVERS and passengers were hospitalised following a crash involving two cars.
Emergency services descended on the scene on Standish Street, in St Helens, close to the junction with Birchley Street, on Tuesday evening.
At around 6pm a red Nissan Juke and a white Peugeot 208 were involved in a crash, police said.
The drivers and passengers of the vehicles went to hospital after "suffering minor injuries", a spokeswoman added.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "At around 6pm yesterday evening (Tuesday, February 6) we received a report of a collision involving a red Nissan Juke and a white Peugeot 208 on Standish Street, in St Helens
"The drivers and passengers of the vehicles went to hospital after suffering minor injuries."
