A SUNBED business has issued a statement after police, paramedics, and an air ambulance were seen in Parr yesterday afternoon.
At around 4pm on Monday, February 5, residents reported seeing a large emergency service presence on Parr Stocks Road.
The North West Ambulance charity has confirmed that it was called to the incident in Parr, with it understood that an individual needed emergency treatment after visiting Oasis Sun Centre on Parr Stocks Road.
Following the incident, employees at Oasis Sun Centre have publicly stated that the individual was a customer at the business, who suffered a "medical episode" while inside one of the sunbeds.

In a statement shared on social media, Oasis Sun Centre said: "Due to false rumours on Facebook, we are issuing a statement on what has happened today in the shop.
"One of our customers has had a medical episode and collapsed in one of our rooms.
"We have been informed he's in a stable condition in hospital and our thoughts are with him and his family.
"We wish him all the best for a speedy recovery."
A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) said: “We can confirm a patient was taken to hospital after requiring medical assistance.
”An ambulance crew, advanced paramedics and critical care team responded to the patient.”
Merseyside Police confirmed to the Star that officers were in attendance to support the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).
