POLICE have explained their presence in an area of Whiston on Friday evening.
The Star was made aware of police being in the area of Hostock Close, close to Paradise Lane and Greenes Road, on Friday, January 26.

When asked about this, a Merseyside Police spokeswoman said that officers attended "a domestic incident" in the area.
No further details in relation to this were confirmed by the police.
