A BOY and a girl have been charged with possession of knives after police were called to a park.
Officers attended The Duckeries on Tuesday afternoon, January 23, after it was reported a number of youths had knives on them.
A police dog also attended to assist officers.
Two suspects, a boy and a girl, both aged 14, were arrested at the scene.
They have since been charged with possession of a knife.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We can confirm that two youths have been charged following an incident in St Helens on Tuesday, January 23.
"At around 2.45pm, it was reported that a group of youths were in the Duckeries and in possession of knives.
"Officers attended the scene and a boy and girl, both aged 14, were arrested and subsequently charged with being in possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place."
He added: "The 14-year-old girl is due to appear at Liverpool Youth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, February 6, and the 14-year-old boy appeared at Liverpool Youth Magistrates' Court yesterday, Wednesday, January 24."
