ST HELENS is bracing for more windy weather as Storm Jocelyn is set to hit.
Following winds earlier this week from Storm Isha, strong gusts are set to return today (Tuesday), and last into tomorrow.
A Met Office yellow warning is in place from 4pm today, until 1pm tomorrow (Wednesday).
According to the forecast winds in excess of 40 mph are expected for the rest of today, with a peak of 52 mph expected for 7pm.
Winds will remain at this level through the early hours, hitting 51 mph at 2am and remaining in the 40s until 7am.
Gusts in excess of 30 mph will remain until around 1pm on Wednesday.

The Met Office says strong winds are expected in association with Storm Jocelyn, leading to possible disruption to travel and utilities.
What to expect
- Some roads and bridges may close, often blocked by fallen trees and other debris.
- Some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs, could happen
- Power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage
- Any remaining recovery efforts off the back of Storm Isha are likely to be hampered.
- Road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected, with longer journey times and cancellations possible
- There is a chance of Injuries and danger to life from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties
