A SECONDARY school which was closed on Monday as a precaution due to the windy weather while building works take place at the site has reopened.
St Augustine's Catholic Academy, in Blackbrook, did not open its doors to pupils today, Monday, January 22.
St Helens saw strong winds on Sunday as Storm Isha hit.
The Boardmans Lane-based school announced that it was not to open on Monday with pupils set work to do remotely, as a precaution due to "extensive building works" on the site.
Following a site inspection, the school has reopened today, Tuesday.

In a statement posted on the school's social media channels on Monday, acting head teacher Miss Quarless said: "Good afternoon everyone
"Thank you for your support today. Well done to all our pupils who have logged on to the various learning platforms, interacted with teachers and completed work today.
"I can confirm that school will be open as normal tomorrow (Tuesday) after a site inspection today.
"All pupils will have received an attendance mark for today and we look forward to welcoming them back tomorrow.
"A reminder that free breakfast club is open from 8am every day with toast, crumpets and cereal available to all students
"School starts at 8.30am."
