A MAN has been charged in connection with an alleged rape.

Detectives investigating the reported rape in St Helens confirmed that they have charged a suspect.

Police received a report that in the early hours of November 15, 2022, a woman was raped at an address in St Helens.

Christopher Bridgeham , of Millom Grove in Thatto Heath, has been charged with rape of a woman.

Bridgeham, 54, was due to appear at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on Friday, January 19.

To report a sexual offence is asked to call 101 where you will be spoken to by specially trained officers or you can pass information to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
