A CAR crashed into a lamppost this morning and was then hit by another vehicle minutes later.
The crashes took place on Fairclough Street, in Newton-le-Willows, shortly before 8am this morning, Tuesday, January 16.
Police said a black Volvo had initially crashed into a lamppost. Around 10 minutes later, a silver Lexus then collided with the Volvo.
No injuries were suffered in either crash, a police spokeswoman said.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "At around 7.40am this morning (Tuesday, January 16) we received a report of a collision on Fairclough Street in Newton Le Willow involving a black Volvo and a lamppost.
"It was then reported that a sliver Lexus collided with the black Volvo around 10 minutes later in the same area.
"No one was injured during both collisions and both vehicles were removed from the area."
