POLICE have confirmed that the emergency services were present on Knowsley Road yesterday following the death of a man.
Residents reported seeing the emergency services around a residential property on Knowsley Road, close to the junction with Boundary Road, at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, January 10.
Officers have now confirmed that the incident related to the sudden death of a man in his 60s, who was found inside the property.
Police say that there is no reason to believe there are suspicious circumstances around the death, and that the man's family are in the process of being contacted.

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "We can confirm emergency services were called to an address in St Helens yesterday, Wednesday, January 10.
"Just after 5.30pm officers were called to a report that the body of a man in his 60s had been found inside a property on Knowsley Road. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
"The man has been formally identified and his next of kin are in the process of being contacted.
" A file is being prepared for the coroner."
