STAR readers have expressed delight at the news that the iconic Pimbletts bakery will soon have a permanent shop in St Helens.
Setting up in 1921, Pimbletts bakery became a household name after serving freshly made pies, pastries, and desserts to Sintelliners for 87 years.
After closing down in 2008, the bakery went through a rebrand as Pimmies Pies under director Arthur Bevan and was taken over by local businessman Ryan Little in 2021.
Operating from an industrial warehouse on Jackson Street in recent years, Pimbletts opened a pop-up shop on Boundary Road in November, which is now being refurbished as a permanent location following a huge response from customers.
