PARTS of St Helens Cemetery have been flooded due to heavy and sustained rainfall, with St Helens Council confirming they are taking action.
Taking to social media, St Helens Council said: "We are taking action to address flooding that has occurred, including ongoing repairs to a collapsed drain, with the area remaining open for the public to visit.
"Maintenance of the cemetery as a peaceful and accessible space where people can go to remember their loved ones is incredibly important to us and we apologise for any inconvenience this flooding has caused.
"We welcome anyone with any concerns or questions to visit our onsite cemetery office where members of the Bereavement Services Team will be available to answer any questions."
