A WEATHER warning is in place, with heavy rain set to fall throughout New Year's Day evening and on Tuesday, January 2.
The Met Office has enforced a yellow alert from 5pm on Monday to 9pm on Tuesday.
It comes after an extremely wet spell of weather over the festive period.
The warning states that "heavy rain falling on saturated ground is likely to cause some travel disruption".
For those travelling, spray and flooding on roads will probably make journey times longer.
Bus and train services are likely to be affected, with journey times taking longer.
Flooding of a few homes and businesses is also possible, according to the warning.
