POLICE have appealed for information after a man died in Ormskirk when a car struck a tree.
The incident happened shortly before 9.50pm on Friday, December 15 on Wanisher Lane at Ormskirk, West Lancashire.
The driver, a man in his 20s from Liverpool, suffered serious injuries after the Renault Megane had left the road and collided with a tree. He died at the scene.
A passenger, also a man in his 20s, suffered more minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
Sgt Paul McCurrie, of Lancashire's Road Policing Unit, said: “Very sadly this collision has resulted in a young man losing his life and our thoughts are with his loved ones.
"I would appeal to anyone who saw the collision itself or the Renault Megane in the moments before to get in touch. I would also appeal to anyone who may have any dashcam footage to contact us.”
