ST HELENS residents have been given important advice about when to put their bins and recycling containers out over Christmas.
The information has been posted on the St Helens Council website.
It advises that those who would normally have a collection on a Monday (for the week of Monday, December 25) that their bins and containers will be emptied two days earlier on Saturday, December 23.
Therefore those with a Monday collection should put their bins out for the Saturday morning (December 23).
Collections between Tuesday, December 26 and Friday, January 5 will be made a day later than usual.
The council website statement reads: "If you receive a recycling or waste collection on a Monday, please be aware that collections due on Monday 25th December is moving forwards to Saturday 23rd December. Collections between Tuesday 26th December and Friday 5th January 2024 will be made a day later than usual.
"We will not return for missed collections.
"Please present your containers at 6.30am on your designated day, at your normal collection point."
