After Paul was taken to hospital following last week's collision, the drivers of the vehicles involved, a Nissan Micra and Ford Transit van, stayed with officers to assist with enquiries.
As the investigation into the fatality is ongoing, officers have continued an appeal to ask those who may have witnessed, or have CCTV or dashcam footage around the time of the incident, to contact them.
Officers have also released the images of five vehicles that were in the area around the time of the collision, hoping that the drivers can come forward with information that may help the investigation.
Sergeant Simon Duffy from the Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “While the images are not the clearest we hope that motorists may recall driving along Sherdley Road around 4.30pm on Monday 4th December and recognise their vehicles.
“Paul was wearing a yellow high visibility jacket and was riding towards Elton Head Road. Did you see him prior to the collision? Please contact us if you can help.
“Similarly, if you saw a white Ford Transit courier van that came from the direction of Sutton Heath Road or a light blue Nissan Micra that travelled from Elton Head Road please get in touch.
“We also believe that the occupants of a dark coloured Ford C Max and a small blue hatchback were in the immediate vicinity and may have vital information."
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any dashcam footage of the collision is asked to call the police's Matrix Serious Collision Investigation Unit on (0151) 777 5747, email SCIU@merseyside.police.uk, or DM @MerPolCC on Twitter quoting reference 23001226394.
