POLICE arrested two theft suspects while patrolling a retail park as part of a pre-Christmas operation.
Officers from Knowsley's Neighbourhood Team pursued and arrested two men who were suspected of committing retail theft on Thursday.
Police have since charged Jack Wibberley, 37, of Primrose Drive, Huyton.
He was due to appear at Wirral Magistrates' Court today, Friday.
Meanwhile, 26-year-old man has since been conditionally bailed.

In a statement after the arrests, police said: "We're increasing our presence at retail locations to prevent crime, detect offenders and keep everyone safe.
"We’re regularly deploying plain clothes operations right across Knowsley to identify potential offenders and prevent shop thefts before they happen.
"So if you see us, ask us about theft prevention; and if you don’t see us, it doesn’t mean we aren’t there!
